It was a hot dry day but it didn't dampen me spirits at the no kings day! Very peaceful as you can see.

I spent ten minutes listening to social justice activists complaining about the effort of Republican leaders to close their primary when I could stand it no more! Why in the world would you ever vote in the Republican primary? You're not voting for anyone; you are just voting against the worst of the worst. In the Republican primary, you've got crooks and sellouts. In the Democratic Primary, you've got people of principle. The Republican Party is the party for billionaires. T

One thing I learned from work in child protection is that adoption is not the feel-good/happy-ever-after solution portrayed in Hallmark movies. Nothing is universal, so there are some instances in which adoptions do work out. The number of successful adoptions is not large and generally requires a lenient definition of “successful”. The odds are much better if the children can be returned to their parents or family. The biggest impediment to successful return is the parents'
