Support the Freedom Amendments to the Texas Constitution

A Group of amendments should be added to the Texas Constitution. As much as I would love to call them the Sparkle amendments, I am bending to the public and calling them the freedom amendments. I am listing them in no particular order. I spent the first twelve years of my legal career drafting ordinances. That left me with permanent emotional scars. I will leave the exact wording to others.

1. No vigilantes

Texas MAGA pioneered the use of bounties to enforce anti abortion laws. These need to be permanently outlawed.

2. No interference with the doctor/patient relationship.

This would stop the state and abortions or gender affirming care.

3. Require an independent non-partisan commission to set a pay structure for state employees. The same commission sets the cost-of-living adjustment every year.

4. Require the establishment of a children's bureau with an elected commissioner

This would replace child protection services and the Texas Youth Commission.

5. Require the establishment of a universal health system covering vision, audio, and dental care.

Continue to check the website for additional amendments. In fact, pretty soon I will be known as the Oprah of amendments (and you get an amendment and you get an amendment and you get an amendment…)
