Laying My Cards on the Table

It should come as no surprise that I don't know what the f**k I am doing. I need real practical advice on the event on August 25th. Tentatively we are labeling this the "Existence equals resistance" rally.
I am in an unfamiliar role. Normally I run from conflicts this time I am actually forcing the issue. Normally I am a follower. By running for Governor I am facing the issue.
I know what I want this event to achieve. I want this event to serve as a vehicle for LGBTQ community ee allies to have opportunity to join the resistance against the society by and for the billionaires we have now
I also want to promote the gospel of 'Glitter, Joy and Inclusion'.
The question is how do I do this. This will be more than a boring campaign rally. I want this event to serve as a stepping off point of these are going to engage in good trouble as we move through the electoral campaign.
Here is what I know so far.
There will be some sort of musical entertainment. I am doing all I can to raise money so I can get everything in place so I can start advertising their identity. (Dontate via my Act Blue account, linked on the events page and the home page)
Second there will be a speech by Sparkle. I don't want to blather on as I have a habit of doing but I can't introduce myself to the electorate without speaking .
I also need to introduce the "gospel of Glitter, Joy, and Inclusion to the voters.
I want to make sure people understand that when I am talking about Joy I am not talking about some sort of hedonistic orgasmic but that I am referring to the satisfaction one gets when one has made the world a better place for a fellow human or member of the animal kingdom.
So here is my dilemma I want to not only seek allies and fellow travelers but I want to do so in a manner that doesn't impose on those who are attendees.
There are so many groups in Texas that are battling to create a more just society.I would like for all to say a few words but I think that could quickly become unwieldy.
By the same token there are many great candidates but I need to have limits.
So here is my tentative plan:
I will invite the many wonderful groups such as Equality Action, Texas Impact, etc., to have booths at the event but not actually participate from the stage.
Secondly I will invite anyone running for statewide office to speak from the stage for up to two minutes.
I would greatly appreciate feedback about my plans. I would also greatly appreciate any advice in general you can give.
Thank ypu,
Sparkle 💖
