Leo Collas - Bumper Sticker Winner!

Leo Collas (he/him/his) is the winner of our Sparkle for Governor bumper sticker. Thank you, Leo, for the wonderful design! In addition, Leo has generously donated the $100 prize to support the Sparkle campaign. About Leo:

Leo has been an advocate for LGBTQ folks and other marginalized people since the days of the AIDS epidemic. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry and has hosted Austin's LGBTQ & Allies Community Heart Circle for many years (3rd Sunday of each month at 2:00 at First UU Austin).


Leo believes that connecting one's spirituality with one's true self is what makes a person truly free. Leo says: "Hope is a discipline - keep it alive - and take action to shape the world you want to live in."

In my 2017 campaign for State Senate, I seemed to have trouble asking for help. The Democratic candidate in our district was appalled that I didn't ask for money from attendees at my announcement. There will be none of that this time around!  I have taken to singing the Temptations song "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" at every opportunity. 😊
