Message from Queer Community to Austin

Ausitn, The Queer Community and its allies sent a clear message. That message is "Glitter Prevails".


Everyone who has dealt with glitter knows that it stands out, grabs attention, and is impossible to get rid of. That is the Queer Community.


We were out in force on Saturday night. The streets were packed. We were loud. We were colorful. We are full of joy. And we are not going anywhere!


August 23 was a great night to be in Austin!

In my 2017 campaign for State Senate, I seemed to have trouble asking for help. The Democratic candidate in our district was appalled that I didn't ask for money from attendees at my announcement. There will be none of that this time around!  I have taken to singing the Temptations song "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" at every opportunity. 😊
