On Giving Listeners Homework Assignments

I have taken to giving audience members the homework assignment of talking to trans children or their parents. This may seem like a futile gesture, but on my part, as I often say, what is a wall for if you're not going to bang your head on it? 😉

This is not my first attempt to assign homework without consequences if one does not do it. When I first started as a substitute teacher, I did the same thing. (For a month, I wanted students to learn something. I soon learned to settle for no fatalities.

I only met one former student who did the assignment. She still held a grudge three years later.
