Why Is This Blog So Weird

At the first Jon and Gary Zoom call, after the new posts, Gary began the conversation with the statement, "My first thought after reading your new posts was that you must be hoping that no one will read them." We then got into an extended discussion that likens my website to the hypothetical tree falling in the hypothetical forest with no hypothetical animals or hypothetical humans to hear it. Amy, Gary's wife, is one of the kindest people I know; however, even she had her limits. She called an end to our foolishness.

I never heard what Gary thought would offend the reader. I suspect it was the piece in which Grumpy interviews Sparkle. Now, contrary to public opinion, I am not a complete idiot.

I understand that the reader faced quite a challenge with the whole trans thing. By transitioning so late, I still have vestiges of my former persona. Grumpy did not completely disappear when Sparkle emerged.

I wanted the reader to understand that for this trans candidate, things are not

simple. I guess it shows something that I am referring to a reader and not a voter.

The bottom line of this campaign is more than accumulating votes. Ideally, when this is done, individuals will see that transgender individuals are not threats.

You may not understand us, and you may not like us, but hopefully you will lose the desire to put us in jail and to deny us health care.

In my 2017 campaign for State Senate, I seemed to have trouble asking for help. The Democratic candidate in our district was appalled that I didn't ask for money from attendees at my announcement. There will be none of that this time around!  I have taken to singing the Temptations song "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" at every opportunity. 😊

Please support my campaign through ACTBLUE, linked below.  You can also donate via a CHECK made out to Glenn Williams (not Glenna), Mail to: PO Box 17093, Austin, TX 78717.

OR through Venmo - Glenna Williams. @Glenna-Williams-4
